Cardinal staff joined the efforts of CAI-OC’s Outreach Committee to collect diapers and wipes to donate to HomeAid Orange County. The mission of HomeAid Orange County is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.
Thanks to our supporters and everyone who donated, Cardinal was able to collect a total of 7,087 diapers and 2,264 baby wipes. On Thursday, June 1st volunteers from CAI-OC’s Outreach Committee attended the “build” event at Angels Stadium and used the donated boxes of diapers and wipes to build a miniature HOA community. CAI-OC was able to collect over 30,000 diapers!
The event culminated on Friday, June 2nd where volunteers from HomeAid Orange County collected more donations and attendees enjoyed visiting the multitude of creative builds that were put together by businesses throughout Orange County, as well as food and music.
